چکیده
ABSTRACT The significant contribution to CO 2 emissions includes historically cumulative in the United States, Russia, Japan, South Korea, and Germany, as well current increase emerging economies, such China, India, Iran, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, which contribute 68% of global emissions. Therefore, it is important measure changes driving mechanisms these countries. This study used LMDI STIRPAT model explore for decoupling from economic growth 10 largest emission countries based on World Bank International Energy Agency databases. results showed that have tripled over last 55 years, driven primarily by (+170%) population (+41%), whereas a decline energy intensity (−87%) carbon (−24%) slowed most period. In increases CO2 were associated with growth. Intensity effects prominent reductions Russia. Overall, developed except Korea strong relationships, six developing weak decoupling.

CO 2 emissions attributed to annual average electricity consumption in OECD ( the Organisation for Economic Co - operation and Development ) countries
When regulating GHG emissions at the country or product level, it is critical to determine the GHG emissions from electricity consumption. In this study, we calculated production-based and consumptionbased CO2 emission intensities of electricity for the OECD (the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) countries during 1990e2008. We examined the impact of annual development, all...
متن کاملEstimating greenhouse gas emissions using emission factors from the Sugarcane Development Company, Ahvaz, Iran
Background: Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are increasing worldwide. They have harmful effects on human health, animals, and plants and play a major role in global warming and acid rain. Methods: This research investigated carbon dioxide (CO2) and CH4 emissions obtained from different parts of the Hakim Farabi, Dobal Khazaei, and Ramin factories which produce ethanol and yeast. Seasonal rates ...
متن کاملDecomposition and Analysis of Driving Forces of GHG Emissions and Emission Reduction Potentials in Iran
Climate change cannot control unless by reduction of GHG emissions to secure level, therefore it is important to identify driving forces and possible scenarios based on targets. In this research, the Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index decomposition approach in combination with Extended Kaya Identity (EKI) are applied to investigate five factors could affect emissions during 1971-2012 in Iran. Thes...
متن کاملEconomic and Environmental Factors Determining the Amount of Carbon Dioxide Emissions in the MENA Countries
Abstract: The gradual warming of the earth and its negative environmental and economic impacts contributed to pay attention to sustainable development considerably. Since climate change is a major cause of greenhouse gas emissions, including CO2, countries are seeking to prevent the rapid growth of emissions to reduce global climate change. Accordingly, and considering the importance of the sub...
متن کاملDecoupling ChinaÕs Carbon Emissions Increase from Economic Growth: An Economic Analysis and Policy Implications
Ð As the worldÕs second largest carbon emitter, China has long been criticized as a ``free-rider'' bene®ting from other countriesÕ eorts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions but not taking responsibility for its own emissions. China has been singled out as one of the major targets at the subsequent negotiations after the Kyoto meeting. By analyzing the historical contributions of interfuel switc...
